Saint Sebastian
Saint Sebastian was a Christian saint and martyr born in 256, who is said to have been killed while the Roman emperor Diocletian engaged in the persecution of Christians in the 3rd century. He is commonly depicted in art and literature tied to a post and shot with arrows. Sebastian was said to be a defense against the plague and enemies of religion.
St. Sebastian is the Patron Saint of the city of Maracaibo, Venezuela among many other cities of the world.
