Light at the end of the tunnel

Light at the end of the tunnel

Ironically, at the end of the tunnel is an old military prison so I would think anyone that was being taken there was far from seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. This was taken at Fort Pulaski on Tybee Island, GA, USA and that area was a prison during the winter of 1864. I like the combination of light a shadow here, as well as the textures.

This photo was taken on September 02, 2007 @ 12:48pm in Georgia, United States with a Canon EOS 30D: Aperture value of f/9, shutter speed of 0.25 sec (1/4), focal length of 24 mm and an ISO value of 100. It was published on September 06, 2007 @ 08:40pm.

Nicely done. Although I think a more centralized composition would enforce the tunnel feeling more. Plus, I 'm not sure which light to look at... the one coming in from the side or the small rectangle in the shadows.

Score 7.5/10 (from the Score Me! group)

There's something I don't like about this photo, but I can't put my finger on it. I think showing more floor than ceiling was a good idea. It's probably that bright white wall that seems out of place. Wonder what they hide behind it? ;-)

Mr. Bobby, andabas perdido, a mi la iluminacion tambien es lo que mas me gusta! Saludos.

    Thank you Tiago.

dapurplerose, thanks for the observation, the light I was refering to with the title was the little light in the shadows :)

armk, maybe they used it to hide more prisoners behind it hehe.

Tor, well it's something... as long as it's there!

Mike, thanks dude! I think so too.
